Admission of students to the Bachelor’s degree programme in Social Work in the Institute is decided in accordance with the admission policy enunciated by the University Grants Commission (UGC) with the concurrence of the Government for the entry of candidates to undergraduate courses in the Universities
The admission requirements mentioned above are also applicable to the admission of candidates to the Diploma programme in Social Work and the Diploma programme in Counseling which are internal and out-reach respectively, conducted by the Institute. In the Diploma programme in Social Work, in addition to the admission requirements mentioned above, candidates with other equivalent qualifications and permanent State officers from selected categories with minimum three years of service experience are also considered for admission.
