LIBRARY FACILITIES
The Library at the NISD holds over 25,000 publications and it is at present the largest library in Sri Lanka on reading material related to Social work. In 2008 under the Canadian-Sri Lankan project on `Governance of Social Care Centres in Post Tsunami Sri Lanka’ funded by the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) and implemented by the Queen’s University, Kingston, Canada in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Services and Social Welfare (MSSSW) the NISD Library acquired more than 627 books in Social Work and related disciplines as part of the project component on the development of an advanced educational programme, namely the Master’s programme in Social Work.
